The iron ore concentrate production of 10 major Iranian companies increased by 3 percent, during the first 10 months of the current Iranian year (from March 21, 2021 through January 20, 2022), compared to the same period last Iranian year, Trend reports citing Iranian Mines and Mining Industries Development and Renovation Organization (IMIDRO).
According to the report, in total, these companies produced about 42.8 million tons of iron ore concentrate over 10 months. The figure stood at 41.6 million tons in the same period last Iranian year.
"The Golgohar Mining and Industrial Company produced 13.9 million tons of iron ore concentrate, Chadormalu Mining and Industrial Company – 10.1 million tons, Middle East Mines Industries Development Holding Company (MIDHCO) – 5.05 million tons, Gohar Zamin Iron Ore Company – 3.92 million tons, Central Iron Ore Company of Iran – 3.28 million tons," the report said.
In addition, Sanabad Inclusive Development Industrial and Mining Company produced 2.03 million tons of iron ore concentrate, Opal Parsian Sangan Industrial and Mining Company – 1.97 million tons, Sangan Mining Industries Company – 1.15 million tons, Sabanour Mining and Industrial Development Company – 1.09 million tons, and Jalalabad Iron Ore Complex – 326,000 tons within the mentioned period.
According to the report, these companies transported 13.6 million tons of iron ore concentrate to the relevant manufacturing companies in 10 months, which is a decrease of 12 percent, compared to the same period last Iranian year. So, the figure was 15.5 million tons in the same period last Iranian year.
