Iran's Aras Steel Company is exporting a major part of its products
to Turkey and China, the Commercial Director of Aras Steel Company
Mohammad Montakhabi told Trend.
"The steel ingot is exported to China, Turkey, Pakistan, and Iraq
but the major part of company's export is destined for Turkey and
China," he said.
According to the official, the company's steel export to Turkey is
handled by trucks and trains and steel export for China is
transported via sea from Bandar Abbas port.
He went on to say that the company has launched a new unit at its
factory that doubled production in the current Iranian year
(started March 21, 2021).
The production was reduced to one-third in summer due to power
outage, however, there was an 80-percent increase in annual
production, compared to the last Iranian year (started March 20,
2020) and an 80-percent increase in export.
"The company's steel production capacity is 320,000 tons, although
the capacity has increased to 360,000 tons by launching two new
phases at the factory, " he indicated.
Aras Steel Holding includes four subsidiary companies: Azarabadegan Aras Steel Company that produces steel ingot, Padideh Aras Tech Company active in producing industrial equipment, Samin Rastak Aras that produces parts and trade products of other factories. Azar Steel Aras produces steel ingot, recycle and process metal, and cast iron.
