BAKU, Azerbaijan, March 29. The volume of coal production in Kazakhstan amounted to 10.1 million tons in January 2022, which is 4.6 percent less than in January 2021 and 15.5 percent less than in December 2021, Trend reports citing Kazakh Statistics Committee.
According to the data, 43,800 tons of coal were imported to Kazakhstan in January 2022, which is 31.4 percent more than in January 2021 and 33 percent less than in December 2021.
A total of 3.1 million of this volume tons were exported, which means an increase of 49.3 percent compared to January 2021 and 2.7 percent compared to December 2021.
A total of 6.9 million tons were sold on the local market, which is 18.1 percent less than in January 2021 and 21.8 percent less than in December 2021.
