BAKU, Azerbaijan, April 9. The electricity generation of the Ramin Thermal Power Plant in the Khuzestan Province (south-western Iran) amounted to 9.36 million megawatt-hours, over the last Iranian year (March 21, 2021 through March 20, 2022), Executive Director of Ramin TPP, Khalil Mohammadi said, Trend reports citing Iranian Energy Ministry.
Mohammadi said that this is an increase of about 4 percent, compared to the preceding Iranian year (March 20, 2020 through March 20, 2021).
“Meanwhile, in the preceding Iranian year, the thermal power plant has generated a total of 9.01 million megawatt-hours electricity,” he added.
The director noted that at present, the 3rd unit of the thermal power plant is being overhauled. The operation of the mentioned unit will be resumed by this summer.
Iran's Ramin Thermal Power Plant is considered the largest TPP in Iran. This thermal power plant has 6 steam units each capacity of 315 megawatt-hours. The power plant can generate a total of 1,850 megawatt-hours of electricity.
