TEHRAN, Iran, April 10. Iran and Turkey trade is increasing, said the head of Iran-Turkey Joint Chamber of Commerce Mehrdad Saadat Dehghan told Trend.
"Iran's total trade with Turkey has reached $7.5 billion in the last Iranian year (started March 21, 2021)," he said.
Iran's major exports to Turkey were gas and chemical materials valued at $4 billion while it imported $3.5 billion worth of goods from Turkey.
He went on to say that Iran's export to Turkey has been on the rise compared to previous years, however the two countries have not been able to reach the potential $30 billion trade outlook that was estimated ten years ago.
According to the official, the possible revival of the JCPOA would increase Iran's transactions and foreign investments.
