BAKU, Azerbaijan, April 14. Azerbaijani Agrarco LLC plans to open a plant for the production and processing of hazelnuts, Director of Agrarco LLC Javid Kazimov said at the signing ceremony of an agreement on cooperation and coordination of activities between the Food and Agriculture Organization of the UN (FAO) and Agrarco LLC, Trend reports.
According to him, the production capacity of the plant will be 20 tons per year.
"In addition, it is planned to install crushing equipment that is capable of cleaning seven tons of hazelnuts a year. This plant is being built in accordance with international and modern standards and using high technologies," Kazimov said.
Company grows hazelnuts on an area of 600 hectares and fruits - on 370 hectares, he noted.
"In addition, there are warehouses where you can store about 5,000 tons of agricultural products," director of Agrarco said.
