IRICA reveals data on exports from Iran's Anzali Free Trade Zone to Azerbaijan

BAKU, Azerbaijan, April 20. More than 23,000 tons of goods worth $7,964,880 were exported to Azerbaijan from Iran’s Anzali Free Trade Zone in the Gilan Province, over the last Iranian year (March 21, 2021 through March 20, 2022), according to the official statistics of Islamic Republic of Iran Customs Administration (IRICA), obtained by Trend.

The main exported goods from Anzali Free Trade Zone to Azerbaijan for the reporting period were cereals, polyethylene, marble, travertine, granite, tea, calcium carbonate, steel and iron ingots, bakery equipment, bitumen, etc.

Moreover, about 9,700 tons of goods worth $19,735,622 were imported from Azerbaijan through the zone within last Iranian year.

The imported goods were mainly wood materials, equipment for screw compressors, equipment used in the manufacturing of metal products, electrical and gas converters, etc.

In total, Iran's trade turnover with Azerbaijan for the last Iranian year amounted to about 852,000 tons worth about $608 million.

The trade turnover between the two countries increased by 93 percent in value compared to the preceding Iranian year (March 20, 2020 through March 20, 2021).
