BAKU, Azerbaijan, May 30. Passenger car manufacturing of Iran Khodro Industrial Group (IKCO) increased by 21.3 percent, during the first two months of the current Iranian year (March 21 through May 21, 2022), compared to the same period last Iranian year, reads the report of information service (codal.ir) under the Securities and Exchange Organization of Iran, Trend reports.
According to the report, Iran Khodro manufactured a total of 68,846 passenger cars in two months.
Meanwhile, in the same period last Iranian year, the figure stood at 54,281 cars.
Within two months, the Iran Khodro manufactured 40,608 units of Peugeot, 11,446 units of Samand, 6,001 units of Dena, 4,476 units of Runna, 1,745 units of Haima, 1,561 units of Tara, as well as 9 pick-ups.
Three giant Iranian automakers (Iran Khodro, Saipa, and Pars Khodro) manufactured a total of 122,317 cars for the first two months of the current Iranian year, which is an increase of 3.13 percent, compared to the same period last Iranian year.
So, these companies had manufactured 118,596 cars in the first two months last Iranian year.
