BAKU, Azerbaijan, June 15. A high-tech laboratory for microclonal propagation of plants will be created on the territory of the ‘Almaty industrial zone’ in Kazakhstan, the Almaty Industrial Zone LLP company told Trend.
According to the company, the laboratory creation project is planned to be implemented by Green Innovation 2030 LLP, which is conducting geological surveys on the allocated plot.
The company said that 1.92 billion tenge ($4.4 million) will be invested, and 30 jobs will be opened for the project’s implementation.
Next year, Green Innovation 2030 LLP intends to plant 575,000 seedlings (120,750 – for paulownia, 80,500 – for Kazakh poplar, 184,000 – for elm, 155,250 - for Canadian walnut, and 34,500 - for others), the company noted.
In 2024, Green Innovation 2030 LLP plans to increase plant cultivation to one million plants per year, added the company.
