BAKU, Azerbaijan, June 25. Iran is carrying out various reforms to facilitate trade with neighboring countries and other countries close to Iran, Iranian Minister of Industry, Mine and Trade Reza Fatemi Amin said at a press conference on June 25, Trend reports from the event.
“As of the second half of last Iranian year (August 23, 2021), Iranian Ministry of Industry, Mine and Trade began to identify and eliminate barriers to trade,” he said.
The minister added that in this regard, the Trade Promotion Organization of Iran (TPOI) has established a section for each country trading with Iran to facilitate trade ties. This section examines trade turnover and other related issues.
According to Fatemi Amin, one of the main steps aimed at the ministry is joint investment. Proposals have been made to several countries in this direction.
The minister also pointed out that the number of approved foreign investment projects reached 260 over the last Iranian year (March 21, 2021 through March 20, 2022). Whereas, in the preceding Iranian year (March 21, 2020 through March 20, 2021), a total of 222 projects on foreign investment were approved in the country.
