BAKU, Azerbaijan, June 28. Iran's raw steel exports increased by 10 percent, during the first two months of the current Iranian year (March 21 through May 21, 2022), compared to the same period last Iranian year, Trend reports via the report of the Iranian Steel Producers Association (ISPA).

According to the statistics, Iran exported a total of 1.07 million tons of raw steel within the mentioned period. Meanwhile, in the same period of the last Iranian year, the figure stood at 967,000 tons.

So, Iran exported 838,000 tons of billet and bloom in two months, which is an increase of 29 percent compared to the same period of last Iranian year. The figure was 652,000 tons in the same period of the last Iranian year.

Iran also exported 228,000 tons of slabs for the reporting period, which is 28 percent less than in the same period last Iranian year. So, the export amounted to 315,000 tons in the same period last Iranian year.

Furthermore, Iran exported 357,000 tons of steel products over 2 months. This is a decrease of 25 percent, compared to the same period of last Iranian year.

Thus, the country’s steel products exports amounted to 478,000 tons in the same period last Iranian year.
