BAKU, Azerbaijan, August 22. Iran's raw steel production increased by 11 percent, during the first four months of the current Iranian year (March 21 through July 22, 2022), compared to the same period last Iranian year, Trend reports via the report of Iranian Steel Producers Association (ISPA).
Within 4 months, Iran produced about 10.6 million tons of raw steel.
Meanwhile, in the same period of last Iranian year, the country’s raw steel production amounted to 9.57 million tons.
At the same time, 7.42 million tons of steel products were produced in Iran over four months, which is an increase of 15 percent compared to the same period last Iranian year.
So, the figure stood at 6.47 million tons in the same period last Iranian year.
Furthermore, Iran produced about 12.5 million tons of sponge iron in 4 months.
This is an increase of 19 percent compared to the same period of last Iranian year. Thus, sponge iron production in Iran amounted to 10.6 million tons in the same period last Iranian year.
