BAKU, Azerbaijan, September 23. The trade turnover between Kazakhstan and Russia amounted to $13.7 billion from January through July 2022, Trend reports via the Kazakh government.
This issue was discussed during the meeting of Deputy Prime Minister - Minister of Trade Integration of Kazakhstan Serik Zhumangarin with his Russian counterpart Alexei Overchuk.
During the talks, issues of bilateral cooperation in various sectors of the economy were discussed. The most significant issues from the Kazakh side include the Astrakhan-Mangyshlak water pipeline reconstruction project, the supply of steel products to Russia, the transit of Kazakh coal and iron ore, as well as the emerging restrictions for the unhindered export of goods to Kazakhstan.
The meeting participants expressed their readiness for close cooperation in order to address and resolve all the issues as soon as possible.
The parties also noted the positive dynamics of mutual trade between the two countries, which increased by 3.5 percent in the first seven months of this year compared to the same period of 2021 ($13.2 billion).
