BAKU, Azerbaijan, October 13. Iran’s export of non-oil products from Semnan Province (northern Iran), increased by 53 percent in value and 7 percent in volume during the first six months of the current Iranian year (March 21 through September 22, 2022), compared to the same period last Iranian year, the Governor of Semnan Province Mohammad Reza Hashemi said, Trend reports citing IRNA.

He made the remark at the meeting of the working group dedicated to the development (expanding) of export from Semnan Province on October 12, 2022.

According to Hashemi, a total of 161,000 tons of non-oil products worth $62 million were exported from the province in 6 months.

The governor added that the province’s goods were exported to 29 countries. It is expected that there will be a significant increase in the non-oil exports from the province by identifying and eliminating the obstacles facing the export.

In total, Iran's non-oil exports amounted to more than 51.7 million tons worth about $24.3 billion during the first six months of the current Iranian year (March 21 through September 22, 2022). This is an increase of 13.3 percent in value, while a decrease of 12.5 percent in volume compared to the same period last Iranian year.
