BAKU, Azerbaijan, October 17. In total, 2.34 million tons of goods worth 149 trillion rials (about $3.55 billion) were sold at the Iran Mercantile Exchange (IME), during the last Iranian week (October 8 through October 13, 2022), Trend reports citing the IME’s official website.
This is a decrease of about 1.3 percent in value, while an increase of 1.73 percent in volume compared to the preceding Iranian week (October 1 through October 6, 2022).
So, 2.3 million tons of goods worth 152 trillion rials (about $3.61 billion) were sold at the Iran Mercantile Exchange (IME) in the preceding Iranian week.
According to the report, about 1.77 million tons of goods worth 77.6 trillion rials (about $1.85 billion) were sold in IME's industrial and mining products section last week.
The main products sold in this section included cement, iron ore, steel, sponge iron, zinc, aluminum, copper, molybdenum concentrate, precious metals concentrate, gold bars and etc.
In addition, abut 512,000 tons of various oil and petrochemical products worth about 70.8 trillion rials (about $1.68 billion) were sold in the oil and petrochemical products section of IME last Iranian week.
The main products sold in this section were polymer substances, vacuum bottoms, lube cuts, chemicals, sulfur, base oil, bitumen and etc.
At the same time, 59,644 tons of various products worth 1.39 trillion rials (about $33.2 million) were sold in the submarket section of the exchange.
