BAKU, Azerbaijan, October 17. The volume of Iran’s exports through the Bilasuvar border terminal in the Ardabil Province (north-western Iran) amounted to more than 222,000 tons during the first six months of the current Iranian year (March 21 through September 22, 2022), Director General of the Road and Transport Department of Iran’s Ardabil Province, Kalimollah Vosughi said, Trend reports citing Iranian Ministry of Roads and Urban Development.
According to Vosughi, the mentioned goods were transported by about 10,000 trucks.
The official added that more than 186,000 tons of goods were exported by 8,283 Iranian trucks, about 31,500 tons - by 1,400 Georgian trucks and 4,470 tons - by 258 trucks of other countries.
“The exported goods were mainly potatoes, ceramics, profiles, construction materials, etc.,” he said.
Vosughi noted that about 570,000 tons of cargo were transited by 25,700 trucks over the Bilasuvar border terminal in 6 months.
