Iran’s non-oil exports via customs of Khuzestan Province increase

BAKU, Azerbaijan, November 27. Iran’s non-oil exports through the customs of Khuzestan Province (south-western Iran) increased by 12 percent in value and 8 percent in volume, during the first eight months of the current Iranian year (March 21 through November 21, 2022), compared to the same period last Iranian year, Customs Inspector of Khuzestan Province Behrouz Gharabeigi said, Trend reports citing Islamic Republic of Iran Customs Administration (IRICA).

“In total, 11.3 million tons of non-oil products worth about $4.7 billion were exported through the province's customs in 8 months,” Gharabeigi said.

According to the official, the main exported goods through the customs of the province were polyethylene, steel ingots, ammonia, methanol, fruits, vegetables, construction materials and so on, and these goods were mainly exported to China, the UAE, Iraq, Türkiye and India.

Within 8 months, 11.7 million tons of goods worth $6.92 billion were imported through the province’s customs, he added.
