BAKU, Azerbaijan, December 20. Iran’s export of non-oil products through the customs of Alborz Province in the north of the country, increased by 146 percent in value and 91 percent in volume, during the first eight months of the current Iranian year (March 21 through November 21, 2022), compared to the same period last Iranian year, Trend reports citing Islamic Republic of Iran Customs Administration (IRICA).

In total, approximately 144,000 tons of non-oil products worth over $138 million were exported through the customs of Alborz Province in 8 months, while in the same period last Iranian year, the exports stood at 75,000 tons worth $52.3 million.

The main exported goods were water conditioners, various pharmaceutical drugs, tea, detergents, electronics and foodstuffs, and the mentioned goods were exported to various countries, mainly Iraq, Afghanistan, the UAE, Türkiye, Somalia, Kenya, Kazakhstan, Russia, India and Pakistan.

Furthermore, 66,700 tons of goods worth $544 million were imported through the customs of Alborz Province within 8 months. This is an increase of 30 percent in value and 18 percent in volume compared to the same period last Iranian year.

So, the imports through the province customs amounted to 56,600 tons worth about $420 million in the same period the last Iranian year.

The imported goods were mainly equipment, spare parts, raw materials, medical supplies, electronic devices, etc. These goods were imported from various countries, mainly the UAE, China, Türkiye, South Korea, France, Germany, Italy, the Netherlands, India and others.
