BAKU, Azerbaijan, January 9. The value of non-oil exports from Iran’s Tehran Province in the north the country, increased by 17 percent, during the first nine months of the current Iranian year (March 21 through December 21, 2022), compared to the same period last Iranian year, Chairman of Industry, Mine and Trade Organization of Tehran Province Mahmoud Sijani said, Trend reports citing IRIB.
According to Sijani, in total, approximately $950 million worth of non-oil products were exported from the province in 9 months.
The chairman added that there are enough opportunities for increasing the export of non-oil products from the province. In order to use the mentioned opportunities, Tehran Province Industry, Mine and Trade Organization is taking necessary steps.
Generally, Iran exported 97.8 million tons of non-oil products worth more than $43 billion from the beginning of the current Iranian year (March 21, 2022) to January 1, 2023. This is an increase of 19 percent in value and 2 percent in volume compared to the same period last Iranian year.
