BAKU, Azerbaijan, February 4. Iran exported over 178 tons of saffron worth approximately $173 million, during the first 10 months of the current Iranian year (March 21, 2022 through January 20, 2023), Trend reports referring to the Islamic Republic of Iran Customs Administration (IRICA).

In general, Iran's saffron was exported to 59 countries, including the UAE, Spain, the UK, Italy, the US, Türkiye, Azerbaijan, China, Russia, France, Kazakhstan and other countries.

Iran mainly exported more than 54 tons of saffron worth $61.7 million to the UAE, 35 tons worth $38 million to Spain, and 28 tons worth $32 million to China in 10 months.

Furthermore, Iran exported 304 kg of saffron powder worth $339,000 in 10 months. Saffron powder was mainly exported to Spain, Australia, Germany, the UAE, the UK, Italy, Bahrain, Singapore and other countries.

Meanwhile, Iran exported more than 103 million tons of non-oil products worth $45.3 billion within the first 10 months of the current Iranian year (March 21, 2022, through January 20, 2023). This is an increase of 2.9 percent in value and 17 percent in volume compared to the same period last Iranian year.
