BAKU, Azerbaijan, February 19. Some 2.45 million tons of non-oil products worth $1.3 billion were exported through the customs of the East Azerbaijan Province (north-western Iran), during the first 10 months of the current Iranian year (March 21, 2022 through January 20, 2023), Customs Inspector of Iran's East Azerbaijan Province Leili Orangi told IRNA, Trend reports.

The official noted that the non-oil exports through customs of the province for the reporting period decreased by 5 percent in value, while increased by 3 percent in volume compared to the same period last Iranian year.

Orangi added that the main exported goods were steel products, rubber products, various chemicals, petrochemical products, food and agricultural products.

According to her, the goods through the province's customs were exported to 96 countries, mainly to Türkiye ($409 million), Iraq ($280 million), the UAE ($64 million), Azerbaijan ($53 million), Georgia ($41 million), Afghanistan ($39 million), Bulgaria ($31 million), Pakistan ($22 million), Russia ($17 million) and other countries ($347 million).

Meanwhile, Iran exported a total of over 103 million tons of non-oil products worth $45.3 billion within the first 10 months of the current Iranian year, which is an increase of 2.9 percent in value and 17 percent in volume, compared to the same period last Iranian year.
