BAKU, Azerbaijan, April 9. In general, 286,000 tons of non-oil products worth $120 million were exported from Iran’s Semnan Province in the north of the country, over the last Iranian year (March 21, 2022 through March 20, 2023), head of the Semnan Province Customs Office, Morteza Hajiannejad told IRNA, Trend reports.

Hajiannejad said that the non-oil exports from Semnan Province for the reporting period increased by 25 percent in value, while decreasing by 2.3 percent in volume compared to the preceding Iranian year (March 21, 2021 through March 20, 2022).

The official added that hydroxide-sodium, light hydrocarbons, water conditioners, rubber containers, detergents and so on were the main exported products from Semnan Province.

He noted that the mentioned products were exported to 36 countries, including Iraq, Afghanistan, Türkiye, Russia, Pakistan, Turkmenistan, the UAE, Azerbaijan, Russia and others.

Overall, Iran exported over 111 million tons of non-oil products worth $48.8 billion within the first 11 months of the last Iranian year (March 21, 2022 through February 19, 2023).

This is an increase of 12.2 percent in value, while a decrease of 1 percent in volume compared to the same period in the preceding Iranian year.
