BAKU, Azerbaijan, May 4. In total, 147,000 tons of non-oil products worth more than $128 million were exported through the customs of Iran’s Isfahan Province for the first month of the current Iranian year (March 21 through April 20, 2023), Director General for Isfahan Province Customs Office Rasoul Kuhestani said, Trend reports citing the Islamic Republic of Iran Customs Administration (IRICA).
Kuhestani noted that this is an increase of 43 percent in value, while a decrease of 2 percent in volume, compared to the same month in the previous Iranian year.
“Within the 1st month, a total of 223 types of non-oil products were exported through the province’s customs, mainly steel and related products worth $78 million, petrochemical products worth $14 million, dairy products worth $10 million, and carpets worth $7 million,” he added.
According to the official, the mentioned products were exported to 41 countries.
“So, the non-oil products worth $48 million were exported to Iraq, worth $26 million to Pakistan, $14 million worth to Türkiye, and $9 million worth to Afghanistan province’s customs during the first month,” Kuhestani said.
The director general stressed that the goods worth $72 million were exported through the Isfahan border checkpoint, worth $18 million through the Kashan border checkpoint, worth $26 million through the customs in the territory of the Esfahan Steel Company, worth $12 million through the customs in the territory of the Mobarakeh Steel Company, and worth $300,000 through the customs of Shahid Beheshti International Airport
There are 5 customs operating in Iran’s Isfahan Province.
Overall, Iran exported about 10.5 million tons of non-oil products worth approximately $3.65 billion for the first month of the current Iranian year (March 21 through April 20, 2023).
This is a decrease of 12.9 percent in value, while an increase of 17.7 percent in volume compared to the same month in the last year.
