BAKU, Azerbaijan, May 25. Azerbaijan plans to implement a project for production of modern types of roof coverings and different flat façade plates made of fiber cement (cellulose fibers) construction material in Aghdam Industrial Park, a source familiar with the matter told Trend.
It is planned to manufacture 6 million square meters of products made of domestic and imported raw materials.
Domestic materials include cement, sand, kaolin and limestone, while paints, cellulose, silicone, polymer and foam will be imported.

The source noted that while resisting mechanical stress, the products withstand the corrosion and decay as well as exhibit durability (over 50 years). High prices for metal roofing materials cause interest in alternative products.
