BAKU, Azerbaijan, May 30. Iran's imports decreased by 4.79 percent in value and 8.7 percent in volume, during the first two months of the current Iranian year (March 21 through May 21, 2023), compared to the same period last Iranian year, Director General of the Islamic Republic of Iran Customs Administration (IRICA), Mohammad Rezvanifar said, Trend reports.

According to him, Iran imported a total of 4.73 million tons of goods worth $7.94 billion within 2 months.

The director general added that Iran mainly imported corn feed worth $536 million, mobile phones worth $247 million, soybean seeds worth $227 million, spare parts for passenger cars worth $209 million, rice worth $206 million for the reporting period.

“In 2 months, Iran imported goods worth $2.39 billion from China, $2.13 billion from the UAE, $903 million from Türkiye, $2.6 billion from India, $288 million from Germany, and $269 million from Russia" Rezvanifar noted.

In total, Iran's non-oil trade turnover amounted to 25.7 million tons worth approximately $15.5 billion for two months.

Reportedly, Iran's non-oil trade excludes only crude oil, white oil, and bitumen products.
