BAKU, Azerbaijan, June 20. Overall, 206,000 tons of non-oil products worth $120 million were exported from Iran’s Markazi Province, during the first two months of the current Iranian year (March 21 through May 21, 2023), Chairman of Industry, Mine and Trade Organization of the Markazi Province, Ali Jodaki said, Trend reports.
According to Jodaki, the province’s non-oil exports for the reporting period increased by 5 percent in volume compared to the same period in the last Iranian year.
The chairman added that the province's products were exported to 83 countries, mainly Russia, Iraq, Afghanistan, Türkiye, Pakistan and the UAE.
“In 2 months, mainly petrochemical products, aluminum ingots, fruit juices, chemicals, liquefied petroleum gas (LPG), various types of glass materials, and etc. were exported from Iran’s Markazi Province,” he said.
Jodaki also pointed out that a total of 40,000 tons of goods worth $103 million were imported to Markazi Province for 2 months. Products were imported from 51 countries, including China, India, UAE and Hong Kong.
He noted that the main imported products were aluminum oxide, various types of equipment, raw materials, etc. The mentioned goods were imported from 51 countries, mainly China, India, and the UAE.
In general, there are 2,800 industrial enterprises in Iran’s Markazi Province. Of them, 300 enterprises are engaged in non-oil exports.
In total, Iran exported 21 million tons of non-oil products worth $7.51 billion within the first two months of the current Iranian year (March 21 through May 21, 2023), which is an increase of 12.3 percent in value, while a decrease of 13.7 percent in volume compared to the same period in the last Iranian year.
At the same time, Iran imported 4.73 million tons of goods worth $7.94 billion for the first 2 months of the current Iranian year. This is a decrease of 4.79 percent in value and 8.7 percent in volume compared to the same period last Iranian year.
