BAKU, Azerbaijan, June 25. In total, 790,000 tons of non-oil products worth approximately $373 million were exported through Iran’s Mehran customs in the Ilam Province (western Iran), during the first three months of the current Iranian year (March 21 through June 21, 2023), Director General of Ilam Province Customs Office Rouhollah Gholami said, Trend reports.

According to Gholami, the country’s non-oil exports via Mehran customs for the reporting period increased by 4 percent in value compared to the same period in the last Iranian year.

He added that the main exported goods were construction materials, vegetables, rubber products, petrochemical products, etc.

The director general stressed that the mentioned goods were exported to various countries, mainly Iraq.

“Currently, export of non-oil products through Mehran Customs is carried out normally and no problems are observed,” he said.

Iran’s Mehran customs is on the border with Iraq. The customs is located approximately 230 kilometers from Baghdad.

Overall, Iran exported 21 million tons of non-oil products worth $7.51 billion within the first two months of the current Iranian year (March 21 through May 21, 2023).

This is an increase of 12.3 percent in value, while a decrease of 13.7 percent in volume compared to the same period in the last Iranian year.
