BAKU, Azerbaijan, July 11. In total, 336,000 tons of non-oil products worth $172 million were exported from Iran’s Gilan Province, during the first 3 months of the current Iranian year (March 21 through June 21, 2023), Chairman of the Industry, Mine and Trade Organization of Gilan Province Teymour Pour Heydari said, Trend reports.
“In 3 months, agricultural products worth $75 million, industrial products worth $65 million, petrochemical products worth $18 million, mining products worth $14 million were exported from Gilan Province,” the chairman added.
Pour Heydari also said that 640,000 tons of goods worth $552 million were imported to the province within 3 months. The imports increased by 90 percent in value and 70 percent in volume compared to the same period last Iranian year.
According to him, industrial products worth $367 million, agricultural products worth $143 million, mining products worth $41 million and petrochemical products worth $1 million were imported to the province during the reporting period.
Overall, Iran exported 35.5 million tons of non-oil products worth $12.5 billion within the first three months of the current Iranian year.
This is a decrease of 8.84 percent in value and an increase of 24.4 percent in volume compared to the same period last year.
At the same time, Iran imported 9.6 million tons of non-oil products worth $14 billion within the first three months of the current Iranian year, which is an increase of 5.79 percent in value and 1 percent in volume compared to the same period in the last year.
