Iran’s non-oil exports via customs of Isfahan Province increase significantly

BAKU, Azerbaijan, July 27. Iran’s non-oil exports through customs of Isfahan Province, increased by 49 percent in value and 20 percent in volume, during the first four months of the current Iranian year (March 21 through July 22, 2023), compared to the same period in the last year, Director General for Isfahan Province Customs Office, Rasoul Kuhestani said, Trend reports.

Kuhestani noted that a total of 757,000 tons of non-oil products worth approximately $627 million were exported through the customs of the province for 4 months.

The director general added that the main exported goods were steel products worth $312 million, petrochemicals worth $96 million, iron and cast iron products worth $42 million, dairy products worth $38 million, and carpets worth $34 million.

According to him, the mentioned goods were exported to 72 countries, mainly Iraq, worth $232 million, Pakistan worth $153 million, Türkiye worth $50 million, Afghanistan worth $40 million, and the UAE worth $36 million.

Kuhestani also said that the goods worth $362 million were exported via the Isfahan border checkpoint, $119 million via the customs in the territory of the Esfahan Steel Company, $106 million via the Kashan border checkpoint, $36 million via the customs in the territory of the Mobarakeh Steel Company and $3 million via the customs of Shahid Beheshti Airport.

Overall, Iran exported 35.5 million tons of non-oil products worth $12.5 billion within the first three months of the current Iranian year.

This is a decrease of 8.84 percent in value, while an increase of 24.4 percent in volume compared to the same period last year.
