BAKU, Azerbaijan, August 7. The non-oil exports from Iran’s Semnan Province in the north of the country increased by 33 percent in value and 29 percent in volume during the first four months of the current Iranian year (March 21 through July 22, 2023), compared to the same period in the last year, the head of the Semnan Province Customs Office, Morteza Hajiannejad, said, Trend reports.

According to Hajiannejad, a total of 90,000 tons of non-oil products worth $45 million were exported from the Semnan Province for 4 months.

The customs official added that the main exported goods included air conditioners, detergents, washing machines, rubber, aluminum, etc.

He noted that the mentioned goods were exported to 30 countries, including Kuwait, Uzbekistan, and India.

"Furthermore, 11,400 tons of goods worth $70 million were imported to the province within 4 months. Imported goods mainly consisted of raw materials, various types of equipment, and so on," Hajiannejad said.

Overall, Iran exported about 45.8 million tons of non-oil products worth $15.9 billion within the first 4 months of the current Iranian year. This is a decrease of 7.97 percent in value and an increase of 28.6 percent in volume compared to the same period last year.
