Iran reveals number of re-launched enterprises countrywide

BAKU, Azerbaijan, November 21. The activity of 6,553 economic enterprises have been restored in Iran since August 2021, when the current government took office in Iran, said Amir Hossein Madani, the representative of Iran's 1st Vice President on economic issues, Trend reports.

According to Madani, 145,000 people have been provided jobs, with re-activation of the mentioned enterprises. A total of 1.82 quadrillion rials (about $43.3 billion) worth of has been spent in this regard.

He said that the funds that helped to re-launch the enterprises came from various channels, such as the capital market, banks and investment funds.

Madani also pointed out that the government has planned to spend 200 trillion rials (about $4.76 billion) this year (March 21, 2023 through March 19, 2024) to revive more enterprises, and has already used 60 trillion rials (about $1.43 billion) of it.

However, there are still 43,500 economic enterprises that are not operating in Iran, he mentioned.

The government of Iran intends to achieve economic development and production growth in addition to creating jobs by restoring the activities of economic enterprises that have stopped operating in the country.
