BAKU, Azerbaijan, February 22. Iran’s trade with its neighboring countries (by land and sea) reached about $55.3 billion in the first 11 months of the current Iranian year (March 21, 2023 to February 19, 2024), showing a 2.5 percent increase from the same period last year, said Mohammad Rezvanifar, director general of the Islamic Republic of Iran Customs Administration (IRICA), Trend reports.
Rezvanifar reported that Iran exported 67.1 million tons of non-oil goods worth $25.8 billion to its neighbors in 11 months, which was 9 percent lower in value and 3 percent lower in volume than the previous year.
The director general also said that Iran imported 21.4 million tons of products worth $29.4 billion from its neighboring countries in 11 months, which was 15 percent higher in value and 11 percent higher in volume than the previous year.
Overall, Iran's non-oil trade with the rest of the world was $94.8 billion in the first 10 months of this year, equivalent to approximately 146 million tons of commodities.
