The balance profits of 72.9% of enterprises and organizations of Azerbaijan made up 4480.1bn manats in the first half-year of 2005, the State Statistics Committee told Trend. They were 16.7% up the profits of enterprises fixed in the first half-year of 2004, whereas 66.2% of enterprises and organizations by 3838.7bn manats.
As of 1 July 2005 20.4% of industrial enterprises obtained profits in the amount of 2380.4bn manats against the profits of 16.6% of enterprises for 2014.5bn manats in the first half-year of 2004. Over six months of 2005, 27.1% of enterprises suffered from 329.6bn manats of loss against 446.4bn manats of 33.8% of enterprises in the first half of 2004.
The State Statistics Committee said that in the first half of 2005 the debts accumulated in the enterprises and organizations of Azerbaijan (without inter-system debts). As of 1 July the amount of debts of organizations and enterprises Azerbaijan made up 8653bn manats. "Over 6-months the debts made 7.96%," the same source said.
As of 1 January 2005 debts of enterprises and organizations to Azerbaijan made up 8015.2bn manats with a rise of 16.5% in 2004. In early 2004 the amount of debts was 6877.2bn manats. The State Statistics Committee did not provided the results of the first half-year.
