GDP rises 21.8%

In January to September 2005 the Gross Domestic Product (GDP) in Azerbaijan grew 21.8% as compared to previous year. As of 1 October, the GDP grew 6.7trln manats and made up 40.9trln manats.

The share of the GDP rose from 60.3% to 65.1%, while services educed from 32.4% to 27.3%.

Net taxes from goods and import made up 7.6% in the GDP. In this period the GDP produced in industry comprised 19.6trln manats, which is equal to 48.1% of the GDP, the value added generation in agriculture, hunting and forestry was 2.9trln manats (7%), in construction sector вЂ" 4.1trln manats (10.1%), in transport sector вЂ" 2.5trln manats (6%), communications sector вЂ" 1trln manats (2.4%), in wholesale and retail trade, automobile sector, home appliances and repair service on personal things вЂ" 2.9trln manats (7.1%), restaurant and hotel sector вЂ" 292.2bn manats (0.7%), social and different services вЂ" 4.5trln manats (11.1%).
