Presentation of the project on automated payment for services of Baku Metro will be held on 1 November.
According to Emil Majidov, vice chairman of the Managing Board of the International Bank of Azerbaijan (IBA), the bank plans to carry out indirect development of card programs. "We plan to implement the transport project, which enables to use Visa cards for payment of traveling expenses, as well as passage via the tourniquet,” he noted.
Meanwhile, AzeriCadr processing center told Trend that the project envisages automated system for payment of fairs. "It will be carried out on the base of Visa Electron cards, through the cards of other banks can also be used,” he underlined.
The IBA will purchase 200,000 new chip card Visa for the development of such projects. The term of final transition to automated payment depends on Baku Metro. Other banks were also allowed to participation this project.
