The World Bank (WB) mission led by Olivier Le Berr, the curator of the project on development of motor roads, will arrive in Baku on 28 November, the Azerbaijani Transport Ministry told Trend. The goal of the visit is to hold discussions with the Azerbaijani government on new project of construction and reconstruction of the Alat-Astara-Iranian border highway.
The $350m project will be financed by WB (3/2) and the Asian Development Bank
The length of the highway was reduced by 46 km due to new design. The Ministry plans to draw up technical documents and credit agreements for construction work in mid-2006.
