A delegation of the National Audit Office (NAO) of the UK, headed by John Born, will pay a visit to Baku in April 2006. The Accountancy Chamber of Azerbaijan told Trend originally scheduled for late October the visit was delayed in connection with the busy schedule of the British.
The Accountancy Chamber said that the two bodies of financial control have a memorandum on mutual understanding. The visit targets discussing the development of cooperation between the UK and Azerbaijan in this direction, implementation of measures set by the memorandum, strengthening of the role of the Accountancy Chamber in expansion of bilateral relationships.
Memorandum on mutual understating between the Accountancy Chamber of Azerbaijan and NAO of the UK was signed in London in May 2003. The signatories were Namik Nasrullayev, the chairman of the Azerbaijani Accountancy Chamber, and John Born, the General Auditor of the NAO.
