The preparations for the project on reconstruction and restoration of the 27-50km section of the Samur-Absheron channel is held within restoration and completion of the Azerbaijani irrigation and drain infrastructure, the Agriculture Ministry told Trend.
The Ministry noted that the project is planned to be implemented at expense of the credit allocated by the International Development Association.
Special working group was established at the Amelioration and Water Economy Agency under the Agriculture Ministry in this regard.
The Ministry announced a tender on restoration and reconstruction of the section of the Samur-Absheron channel, including, technical work on restoration of concrete coverage of the channel, purchase of different equipment, replacement of old one.
The head of the project will hold a meeting with the interested people on 15 January 2006. Interested companies are due to submit their bids on 17 January 2006.
