The Azerbaijani State Railway Department (ASRD) is interested in rise of passengers and freight transportation tariffs, ASRD told Trend.
ASRD submitted proposals to the Transport Ministry on possible increase of prices.
ASRD regards increase of railway transportation tariffs as necessary in relation to the rise in the some oil product prices, including, diesel fuel, which is consumed by locomotives.
In case of the positive solution of the issue, the Ministry will send the proposals to the Tariff Council. The level of the increase has not been determined yet, as the issue requires unification.
