CSC to start delivery of lorries from Baku to Astrakhan

From 28 January the Caspian Shipping Company (CSC) of Azerbaijan intends to open a sea route Baku-Astrakhan for delivery of lorries, the CSC told Trend. It was explained with the difficulties in the movement of transport in the northern direction in condition with unfavorable weather conditions.

The automobile will transported by Bastakar Gara Garayev vessel (Ro-Ro type). The vessel is in condition of lifting 60 automobiles KamAZ, or 40 heavy lorries with trailers on board.

The CSC noted that in case the route is claimed, it can become permanent. The functioning time will comprise two days. All customs and frontier procedures will be held at the Baku international sea port and at the place of destination.
