As a result of the monitoring Azerbaijani specialists did not reveal signs of bird flu. No case of death of wild birds was revealed during the monitoring by the Special Commission, the State Veterinary Service under the Azerbaijani Agriculture Ministry told Trend.
The Commission includes specialists of the Veterinary Service, Health Ministry, Ecology and Natural Resources Ministry, Zoological Institute of the Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences.
The monitoring was only of observant character, no bird was killed during the recent monitoring act, the Veterinary Service said.
The monitoring was conducted in the regions Aghjabadi, Lankaran, Masally, Salyan, Davachi and the national parks Agh gol, Sarisu.
All samples are studied by local specialists through new laboratory equipment, the Veterinary Service stated.
