Finances Ministry unseals tender bids for fabrication of excise marks

The Azerbaijani Ministry Finances unsealed on Thursday tender bids on fabrication of excise marks for alcohol and tobacco products produced in Azerbaijan and imported to the territory of the country, Trend reports.

Ilgar Fatizade, the Deputy Minister of Finances, also the chairman of the tender commission, stated to the ceremony of unsealing that attending the tender were 4 companies - the Polygraph Factory of Ukraine, the British Optaglio, the German Giesecke and Devrient, the Lithuanian Garsu Pasaulis.

The Ukrainian company will carry out work worth $1,617,000 with the delivery term of from 8 to 12 weeks, Optaglio estimated the work at 1,368,500 euros with the delivery term of from 8 to 12 weeks, Giesecke and Devrient the offers the price at 1,995,900 euros with the delivery term of from 2 to 12 weeks, Garsu Pasaulis 1,620,000 euro with the delivery term to start within 30 days.

In the end of unsealing of the tender bids Fatizade stated that a resolution of the commission will be announced on 6 March. The Commission will name the company, who occupied the first and second places in the competition.

A total of 2,539 AZN will be allocated out of the public budget in 2006 for the fabrication of excise marks.

The Polygraph Factory of Ukraine has been involved in printing excise for the Finances Ministry since 2001. The necessity for selection of a new fabricator of excise marks was caused by changes in prices as a result of 4 inflation processes over 4 years and improvement of protection system of marks.

They propose to print 50 million excise marks for beer produced output in the country, 20 million for alcohol drinks, 200 million tobacco products, 10 million - import beer bottles, 10 million for import alcohol drinks and 250 million for import tobacco products.
