John Born, the chief auditor of the British National Audit Office will pay an official visit to Baku at the invitation of the Azerbaijani Accountancy Chamber from 4 to 8 April. The key objective of the visit is to develop the cooperation between the organizations of supreme audit, as well as discuss fulfillment of memorandum on mutual understanding in cooperation between them. The memorandum was signed in London in May 2004.
During the visit the Born plans to make a speech in front of state and public organizations of economic type, as well as students of an Azerbaijani university. The visit program also envisages meetings with the chair of the Milli Majlis and the head of the parliamentary commission on policy.
It is remarkable that Azerbaijan will come as the second country in the CIS space after Russia, which was visited by the chief auditor. Besides, he paid visits to Latvia and Estonia among the former USSR countries.
