The subsidy for the Baku Metro may be increased at reconsideration of the budgetary forecast for 2006, Trend reports quoting Taghy Ahmadov, the head of the Baku Metro.

According to Ahmadov, 7bn manats is supposed to be added to 7,200 m allocated from the public budget to cover expenses for electricity.

Expenses for electricity depend on use of trains (68%), escalator and other plants. (15-17%). At present the Baku Metro can use 30 pairs of trains, but it works with 24 or 26 trains to save energy.

The head of the Baku Metro noted that in 2005 incomes of the state body from advertisement comprised 500m manats, rent - 2,500m manats.
