The World Bank (WB) economists Christian Pitersen, on South Caucasus, Christos Costopolus, on Azerbaijan, and Sheril Gray, the Director of Sector of Economic Managemant and Poverty Reduction, have arrived in Baku on Friday. The guests will set to the official meetings with the representatives of the Azerbaijani government from Friday, the WB Baku representation told Trend.
The meetings are planned at the Cabinet of Ministers, Finance Ministry, Ministry of Economic Development, as well as appropriate ministries and departments to discuss the projects, included into a new strategy of partnership with the country (2006-2009).
Besides discussion of the draft strategy, the WB delegation will get familiar with the general economic situation in the country. The visit will last till 14 April.
