New forms of cooperation to be discussed with ADB's president Ministry for Economic Development

Azerbaijans presentation will be performed at 39th session of executive Council of Asia Development Bank to take place May 3 to 6 in Haidarabad, India, deputy minister for economic development Mikail Jabbarov told Trend. Mr Jabbarov himself will participate at this session.

Apart from Azerbaijan Republic, three more countries, Indonesia, China and Philippines, will be presented at this session.

В"We expect significant interest in Azerbaijans presentation in a view of such large projects as Baku-Tbilisi-Ceyhan oil or Baku-Tbilisi-Erzurum gas pipeline. Alongside, the country is dynamically progressing its non-oil sectorВ", - Jabbarov stressed.

Jabbarov is also meeting with ADBs new president Haruhiko Kuroda in order to discuss the banks cooperation with the country and new shape of work with ADB. Such innovation is needed to speed up approval of many discussed projects.

From the beginning of Azerbaijan-ADB cooperation in 1999, the bank financed three projects in total amount of $104mln. Asian bank also issued $10.5mln grants and promoted the issue of $5.85mln grants from Japanese Fund for Poverty Reduction.
