Officials of Baku International Marine Port oppose construction of 60KT tankers to transship oil in Caspian Sea. Vahid Aliyev, Assistant to Director General, said this is quite inexpedient from environmental point of view.
To transship Kazakh oil `up to intakes of BTC pipeline, capacities Caspian Marine Line and Kazakh shipping agencies wield are quite sufficient. The port today is ready to receive tankers under this project, Aliyegv said.
