On July 18, a business-seminar is held in Seoul where the investment opportunities of Azerbaijan are presented, Trend reports with reference to the Azerbaijan Fund for Export and Investment Support (AFEIS). The event is organized by the Korean Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy, Korean Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Ministry of Economic Development of Azerbaijan and AFEIS.
During the one-day seminar, the Korean businessmen will get familiar with the investment climate of Azerbaijan, potential possibilities for cooperation in the sphere of trade and industry, information technologies, construction and energy.
The presentation will be held by the head of AFEIS Emil Majidov. Besides, reports will be delivered by Anar Guliyev, investment support director of AFEIS, Samir Nuriyev, the head of entrepreneurship development department of AFEIS and Elshan Mammadzade, the head of the investment and international relations department of the Ministry of Economic Development of Azerbaijan.
During the visit, it is planned to hold business meetings with the representatives of the ministries of construction and transport, information and communication, trade, industry
and energy, as well as several Korean transnational corporations. Besides, the presentation will be held in relation with the upcoming Azerbaijani-Korean economic forum scheduled to be held in August in Azerbaijan. In connection with this, the Korean delegation consisting of representatives of the Ministry of Commerce, Industry and Energy headed by the department director of the same ministry Kvon Kyu-Sab paid a visit to Baku in June.
In May 2006, the first Azerbaijani-Korean business-forum was already held in Baku, which brought together about 200 entrepreneurs and officials of Korea. Within the forum, a cooperation agreement was signed between AFEIS and Korean Chamber of Commerce and Industry.
