For the first-half of 2006, commodities in amount of $775578.4 thousand were imported into Azerbaijan from CIS countries, and this forms 36.62% of gross import of the country. The amount of commodities exported to CIS countries from Azerbaijan was $412011.1 thousand, Trend reports quoting State Customs Committee (SCC).
Mainly fuel, oil products, chemical substances, adipose and vegetable oil were exported from Azerbaijan to CIS countries, and from CIS countries to Azerbaijan equipments, land transport means, grain plants, electrical appliances, etc.
