Date of meeting of Azeri and Georgian experts to prepare agenda of interstate commission was defined

On August 12-13, the experts will come together in Georgia to prepare the agenda of the third meeting of the interstate commission for economic cooperation between Azerbaijan and Georgia, a government source told Trend. The date of conducting the meeting was fixed for August 19.

The meeting is expected to cover the cooperation in the sphere of development of commercial-economic relations, transport, energy, customs and regulation of financial pretension. According to the previous information provided by the Georgian ambassador to Azerbaijan Zurab Gumberadze, around 15 agreements are worked out between the two countries, which are planned to be agreed at the meeting. He didnt excluded that several agreements may be signed until the commission. These agreements include the intial contract for the regulation of the debt obligations and the agreement on the cooperation in the sphere of customs.

Irrespective of the repeat meeting of the energy ministers of Azerbaijan, Georgia and Turkey, the delivery of the additional gas may also be the discussion topic of the meeting.

Recently, the new composition of the Azerbaijani part of the commission was confirmed. The commission included the ministers of finance, economic development, industry and energy, transport, ecology and natural resources, culture and tourism, and education, the chairmen of the State Customs Committee, the State Commission for Work with Azerbaijanis Living Abroad, State Border Service, Chamber of Trade and Industry, as well as Azerbaijani deputy foreign minister Khalaf Khalafov, Azerbaijani ambassador to Georgia Namig Aliyev and the chief of the department of interregional economic relations of the Cabinet of ministers Kamal Ismailzade.
